Clark County Fire Station 61, previously Station 16, was constructed in 1979 and is not amenable to the current operations of the Clark County Fire Department.

The project will demolish the existing Fire Station 61 and will be replaced with a new fire station on the same site.

The intent is to provide the surrounding community with a modern 10,311-square-foot fire station equipped to provide optimum protection and prevention for the community.

The project includes three apparatus bays, a kitchen and dining area, captains room, exercise and fitness room, day room entertainment area, storage area, 12 private sleeping quarters, private shower rooms, utility and clean room, an outdoor living space, among other features.
