Located 10 miles from the Las Vegas Strip and 15 miles from the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, The Enchantment Way is a development of eco-vacation houses. Six 3500 square-feet houses and one 5,000 square-feet house on a 5-acre parcel in the southwest portion of the Las Vegas valley are to be a new way to experience vacationing in Las Vegas. The Enchantment Way provides visitors with easy access to both the gaming and entertainment of the resort corridor, and outdoor recreation of the surrounding areas. The environmentally conscious tourist can stay in the privacy of houses designed to utilize natural ventilation, natural materials, day-lighting, chemically sensitive building materials, and native landscape, connecting them to a sense of peace and wellness.

The natural beauty and extreme climatic conditions of the Mojave Desert drive the aesthetics of the homes, which utilize thick, straw bale walls, deep roof overhangs, protected indoor/outdoor spaces, and warm desert colors. The simple interior spaces are flexible enough to create a comfortable, casual relaxation experience, or as an entertaining venue. Each of the rental houses has two master bedrooms with master baths, three bedrooms, full Kitchen, dining, living and laundry rooms, along with a three car garage, and pool. Combining the kitchen, living, and dining areas into a great room allows for a flex space to be. This area could be used for a family on vacation or entertaining clients if a corporation would lease the whole complex. Each layout has its own unique way of connecting the great room to the outdoors. The Enchantment Way 2, 3, 5 and 6 all have two different exterior courts off their great rooms, creating spaces that would be better suited for different types of functions and/or different times of the year.

The Enchantment Way development is registered with the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Homes program. The goal is for the homes to be Silver level certification.
