Kristina Alvarez

Kristina got her start interning at the City of Whitter’s Community Development Department as a planning services intern where she verified compliance per approved plans/conditions of approval and supported staff on site visits. In addition, she assisted staff with the public counter functions and communications with residents, architects, contractors, business owners and developers for five months.

After her time with the City of Whittier, she worked at Williams Architects in Upland, California, as project coordinator. As project coordinator, she worked closely with project managers to coordinate all aspects of project delivery from concepts through project closeout. With a diverse range of experience, she participated through all phases of project work for civic, commercial, residential and other facilities types. As a team member, she was always composed under pressure and deadlines to ensure project’s scope, budge and schedule while performing with multiple project managers on several projects at any given time. Along with production, she has experience with secretarial organizational skills. Lastly, she demonstrated reasonable engagements and communications with project team members: clients, consultants, governing jurisdictional agencies, contractors, vendors and associates.

At TSK, she is continuing to improve her skills and knowledge in the professional field, for instance attending construction meetings and learning Revit.  While at TSK, she's had the opportunity to expand her project typology experience including a fire station, K-12 and higher education.
