TSK provided design and construction administration (CA) services at Kalaeloa Airport Hangar 110. The hangar space will be transformed with infrastructure to support a total of 252 high acuity kits (HAK) and 56 nurse stations. The north and south wings will be renovated to house office, laboratory, service, and storage spaces.

Hangar 110 has gone through a five-phase renovation which included exterior paint and window replacement, interior demolishing of the north and south office space interior partitions and ceilings, installing new metal stud framing and ceiling system, and a fire suppression system throughout. A full restroom build-out in the southeast corner of the hangar was completed with other restrooms getting value engineered out. New elevators in both the north and south wing were installed. A full roof restoration during phase 1 was completed including, removing existing roof membrane, insulation, metal fascias, flashings and gutters and installing a new single ply PVC roof membrane and R15 rigid insulation over new steel roof decking. The skylight roof was replaced with a new standing seam on new 8” purlins and R15 insulation. All structural members below the roof were repainted. Since the building is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, exterior modifications to the building were very limited. Interior modifications were also minor and did not change the character of the building.
