Mobile Harvest with Food Bank of Northern Nevada

Everyone at TSK's Reno office went to O’Brien to be part of the mobile harvest organized by the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. A description on the event directly from their website reads “Access to healthful, nutrient-rich foods is extremely important for community members served by the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. The Mobile Harvest program is a direct service program that allows us to distribute perishable foods such as fresh produce, bread, and dairy into high-need neighborhoods. Volunteers at our Mobile Harvest distributions assist Food Bank staff with handing out food items to clients, as well as setting up and tearing down the mobile distribution site.”

Bill Snyder's Relief Mission in Haiti 2010
Date: April 27, 2022
Former TSK President Bill Snyder, FAIA came and spoke to our Henderson office about a relief mission in 2010 to rebuild schools in Haiti following a tragic earthquake. After his presentation Bill stated, "As architects we have to keep in mind that the real client is the end user." Bill had the opportunity to spend quite a bit of time in Haiti getting to know the locals, learning about their needs, and how to help. Building a safe, high performance, and sustainable learning environment was top priority for Bill and those who were also there to help. Bill’s presentation was a great reminder that in this industry we do this work with all people in mind and the importance of giving back to communities. We are very proud of Bill for going on this trip to build some beautiful schools customized to the local needs in Haiti.
